Oak Ridge is a High Five Community

At Oak Ridge, we ask our community to abide by five standards: Be Kind, Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Be Cooperative, and Be Safe. These ideals look different depending on where you are at in the building. For example, being cooperative on the playground is different than being cooperative in the classroom. To help our community understand our High Five program, we have signs throughout the building reminding them of the high five rules in each area. To view our high five matrix , please click here. In addition to signage, we also practice our high five behavior every other week with high five lessons. These lessons focus on a specific behavior in a specific area. Students have the opportunity to win high five tickets by being "caught" exhibiting high five behavior. They enter these tickets into a raffle and if their name is drawn they get their picture taken and put on the high five bulletin board.
