PTA Events
Oak Ridge enjoys an active partnership with its PTA. Our PTA provides incredible support throughout the year. They provide activities such as assemblies, Noonwalkers, unplugged week, Math and Science Week, ice cream socials, and the end of the year picnic just to name a few. Student Senate
Oak Ridge's Student Senate contributes to the school's mission of promoting academic achievement, personal development, and social responsibility in multiple ways. They conduct fundraisers throughout the year to purchase library books, playground equipment and a buddy bench. They also donate to many charitable organizations throughout the year such as the Lymphoma and Leukemia Foundation.
Oak Ridge Live
Oak Ridge has a production studio that they use to produce a live news broadcast throughout the week. Oak RIdge Live helps to keep our students informed and promote the mission and vision of the school. Students operate the equipment and produce the show with help from the staff.
Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books is an annual event that test students' knowledge of popular literature. Fourth and fifth graders assemble in teams that they've named themselves. They read and study four novels. They have a parent coach who helps them study the novels and prepare for the competition. At the competition, they dress in costume according to their team name and compete against the other teams. They are asked a series of questions and have to provide correct answers for each question. The event is full of energy, and loved by the students, parents, and teachers.
Open House

Each year in the spring, Oak Ridge hosts an Open House for their students and parents. Students invite their parents into the classroom to show them their accomplishments.
